Ari Niemi Director of Engineering Ari Niemi oversees JMA design teams supporting a wide variety of Public Works transportation projects. He brings extensive expertise in conceptual design, pre-construction planning, construction, operation, inspection, and maintenance of heavy civil infrastructure on major rail and site development projects for both the public and private sectors. Prior to joining JMA, Ari served over 12 years as the Vice President of Engineering & Development at a major California trackwork contractor where he was responsible for the strategy, administration, direction, and overall management of design-build rail projects. Ari leads JMA’s Project Management Oversight (PMO), Project Delivery Support Services (PDSS), Interface Mangement and similar owner representation and consulting roles, providing insights and advice related to rail project delivery, rail jurisdictional issues and project controls for rail mega projects.
